Park Board of Commissioners

Policy-making and legislative authority are vested in the St. Charles Park Board, which consists of seven commissioners. The Board is elected on a nonpartisan, at large basis. Commissioners are elected to four-year terms. This governing body is responsible for, among other things, passing ordinances, adopting the budget, appointing committees, and hiring the Park District Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for carrying out the policies and ordinances of the Board, for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Park District, and for appointing the heads of the Park District’s departments.

Upcoming 2025 Consolidated Election: Four of the seven commissioner terms are up for election on April 1, 2025. Potential candidates may pick up election information packets beginning August 14, 2024 at Baker Community Center, 101 South Second Street, St. Charles, IL during normal business hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. Candidates may begin circulating petitions August 20, 2024. Petitions should be filed with the Board Secretary or his surrogate at Baker Community Center between November 12, 2024 at 8 a.m. and November 18, 2024 at 5 p.m. For more information, please call Jenny Santos 630-513-4316.

The St. Charles Park Board meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Unless otherwise published, Park Board meetings are held in the board room at:
